MILK ZONING
Sir, —The letter by "Cow Cockie" dealing with the above subject meets with the warm approval of many householders. His simple explanation of the probabilities of zoning in the matter of deterioration of the quality of milk supplies should make consumers ponder seriously. Considering the vital importance to health and well-being of a plentiful supply of pure milk as cheaply as possible, is it not time the Metropolitan Milk Board, with its numerous highly paid officials, was called to account? Its zoning 'lias deprived many small vendors of their means of livelihood, which they earned by delivering milk at appropriate times. This seems 110 longer possible. Consumers have to accept what milk they can "et and when it suits the appointed vendor to deliver it. Surely in these times of stress it is due to consumers to have from the Milk Council some just and sane reason why they should be further burdened with the unwarranted expense of several thousands of pounds per year for activities which so far have proven detrimental to their interests. Housewife.
