STOCKS AND SHARES
THE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE GOVERNMENT LOANS STRONG Share dealing livened up on the Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday, and the undertone in most sections was strong. A marked feature was the rise in offers for Government loans, buyers for some issues lifting their\limits by as much as 20s on the day. Those issues which sold showed advances of about -IDs on previous transfers a month ago. Hanks we're firm and New Zealand.? were lifted, and the. 1). Mortgage issue showed a marked rise since the end of last year. Australian industrials .showed further improvement. New Zealand issues which were prominent for their strejigth included Farmers' Trading, Hveroft, Wool worths (N.Z.) and. Consolidated Brick.
