AUTOMOBILE ASSOCIATION An enjoyable social evening was spent recently by residents of the Waingaro, Waimai ancl Te Akau districts at the home of Mr. W. M. Gordon, Pepepe, who offered his house to afford friends and members of the Automobile Association the opportunity of viewing the overseas motion picture films in natural colour photographed by the Automobile Association touring manager, Mr R. Champtaloup, 011 his recent tour abroad. Mr. Champtaloup described his pictures in detail and gave a brief outline of the wartime policy adopted bv the Automobile Association (Auckland) to maintain its services on a nominal basis. Roads in the district were among matters which were discussed, and it was evident from the remarks of several lady drivers, of whom there was a good representation present, that an improvement to several rough sections would be greatly appreciated, especially bv the women. Mr. Champtaloup was able to inform the ladies that the Raglan County intended to effect repairs in the near future.
