J. Young, Leigh-on-Sea, Essex, wrote our London correspondent on December 15. Duckworth —Williams. —The engagement is announced between LieutenantCommander A. C. Duckworth, Royal Navy, second son of the late Sir George Duckworth, C.8., and Lady Margaret Duckworth, of Dalingridge, Sharpthorne, Sussex, and Christina Elsie, voungest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Kdric Bentham Williams, and niece of Miss Klsie Williams of Frimlcy, Hastings, wrote our London correspondent on December 15. Sumpter —Mawhlney. A marriage lias been arranged and will take place ii' Timaru at the end of this month between Cecil, elder son of Mr. and Mrs. B. Sumpter. of Kitchener Square, Timaru. and Joyce, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. Mawhiney, of Brett Avenue, Takapuua. Williams—Bonham Carter.—The engagement is announced between Peter Temple Williams, R.N., Barracks, Portsmouth, son of the late Mr. Er) Williams and Mrs. G. A. C. Elkington, of Mamaku, Masterton, and Daphne, second daughter of Major Bonham Carter, D.5.0.. The Manor House. Buriton, Petersfield. and Mrs. Auriol Gaselee. wrote our London correspondent on December 15.
