"PARTY GOING"

If to write a novel about nothing is an achievement then Mr. Henry Green is to be congratulated on his new book. "Party Going." A group of young people gathers at a London railway station.to set off on a holiday to the South of Franco and are held up for four hours because of fog. Inane and meaningless remarks, in which each person inevitably calls the other "darling," stray thoughts and trivial episodes go to the making of this story which finishes as the train eventually leaves tho station. In "Party Going" Mr. Green has not improved on a previous novel, "Living," written ton years ago. It was of much sounder quality. "Party Going," by Henry Green. (Hogarth Press.)
