Phillips, it was announced that the local Fire Brigade was generously donating half the proceeds of the recent Guy Fawkes display to the branch. It was also stated that the Kiokio Women's Institute had held an afternoon to raise funds for its benefit. The amount collected to date totalled £4l 17s, with which materials were to be purchased for making socks and pyjamas for the men in camp.
