Miss M. Blythe Law is spending a few days in New Plymouth on her way to Wanganui, where she intends staying for a week before visiting Wellington.

Mrs. Alan Smalley. who has been spending the past few days with Miss May Dransfield. Victoria Avenue, will leave at the week-end for her'home in Gillies Avenue, Hamilton.

Mrs. H. Brash, of Sydney, who has been visiting the United States, -will arrive in Auckland by the Monterey next week to visit her daughter, Mrs. Peter Nathan, of Remuera Road.

A delightful evening organised by the ladies' committee of the Yugoslav Club was given this week in honour of a member, Mr. Ron Simich, who will leave to-day to join the Royal Air Force. A. presentation was made to the guest of honour by the club president, Mr. S. Simich.
