GOODS FOR BRITAIN

SPEED AN ESSENTIAL APPEAL BY MR. NASH [by telegraph—own correspondent] "WELLINGTON, Friday The urgency of quick loading of ships carrying New Zealand produce to the United Kingdom was emphasised by the Minister of Marketing, the Hon. W. Nash, in a broadcast address to-night. "The agreements with the United Kingdom have been completed, prices are all on a reasonable basis and the only condition necessary to get the maximum results is to get the goods on the ships and the ships away," the Minister said. "A day's delay in the turn-round of a ship may break a convoy procedure and involve a hold-up of other ships. All who want to help the United Kingdom get our food and. our wool should do their part now. "On the farm, on the road, on the railway, in the store, and on the waterfront the one aim is expedition. He who helps in this direction is helping the Government of this country, the people, the people of the Old Country and tiie cause to which we are all committed."
