COMPLIMENTARY DINNER

SPORTS TEAM HONOURED A complimentary dinner was given on Monday by tho workroom staff of Messrs. Greers to the sports team who took part in tho Auckland Girls' Athletic Association sports display. The guests of honour were: Mrs. Galvin, Miss Ryan, Miss O'Grady, Miss D. Phillips, Miss McGill, Miss Pawsey. A presentation of a gold armlet was made by Miss B. Parkos, captain of the A team, to the coach of the A team. Miss B. Smith presented the coach of tho B team with a gold signet ring. The basket ball team offered congratulations on behalf of tho workrooms to the sports team for_ their success in winning eight events in the sports. Homage was paid to their late team mates, Misses Doreen and Bcrnice Luinley, by placing a wreath on their graves before going to tho sports function.
