AMBULANCE SOCIAL
OTAHUHU DIVISION PRESENTATION OF TROPHIES A social evening to conclude the winter season was held by the Otahuhu Ambulance Division in the St. Andrew's Hall on Monday. The ladies who assisted in the recent street collection, when the record sum of £B3 was collected, were the guests of honour and were welcomed by divisional superintendent H. K, Handisides. On behalf of the St. John Ambulance Association, Corps Officer Thompson, of Auckland, expressed appreciation of the work of the Mayoress, Mrs. C. R. Petrie, and the ladies assisting in the collection. A programme of dancing and items contributed by Mr. R. Bell and Mrs. Milligan was enjoyed by tho gathering. During the interval the Mayoress presented the honours won by the division members during the winter. The McIvofr cup miniatures were presented to Corporal W. Morton, Privates H. King, T. Ambrose and D. McDonald, who comprised the successful team in the divisional competition. Tho Jordan Cup, which was won by the division in the open competition, was presented to the successful team, Honorary Sergeant E. Brookes, Privates B. R. Westbrooke, H. King and H. Cox. Tho other awards were: —Thompson Cup (general all-round efficiency), Private F. Haybell; Gratten Efficiency Shield, Corporal E. Moorman. Supper was served by the division members.
