ACTIVITIES REVIEWED The efficiency of the association's clubs was demonstrated by the competent way in which they carried out; their duties, states the report to be presented at the annual meeting of the Surf Life-saving Association (Auckland) to-night. During the season surf club members were called upon on 78 different occasions to assist bathers in difficulties. Resuscitation was .civen to nine persons, and first aid to I'JO. The association controlled the New Zealand surf championships at Milford Beach last February. The entries were the largest received for any surf championship carnival, and the meeting was very successful. The Auckland teams made a creditable showing against the more experienced southern teams. During the season demonstrations of lifesaving methods were given in various country centres by club teams. The New Zealand resuscitation championship for the Cambrian Shield wag won by 11. Mackintosh, of the Takapuna Club.
