CHAMPION SCULLER
PEARCE TURNS WRESTLER (Received November 14, 0.5 p.m.) MONTREAL. Nov. 1-1 The Australian and world's professional sculling champion, Bob Pearce. will make his professional wrestling debut next Thursday against A 1 Dunlop at Toronto. Pearce first came into prominence as a sculler when competing as an amateur in different parts of Australia. He represented his country at tho Olympic Games at Amsterdam in 1028. winning the single sculls championship. Pearce retained the world's amntcur sculling title by defeating Miller, of America, at the Olympic Games at Los Angeles in 10;J2, and turned professional in June, 103:4. In September of the same year he defeated Ted Phelps (England) for the world's professional title, iind since that time has successfully repulsed all challenges.
