CHARGE AGAINST MAORI
A - Maori, Ned Cross, aged 23, was charged before justices in the Police Court yesterday with unlawful carnal knowledge of a Maori girl aged 15 years at Mangere on September 27. .Mr. iJlomfiold appeared for accused, and Detective-Sergeant' Med ugh prosecuted. Accused, who pleaded not guilty, reserved his defence and was committed to the Supreme Court for trial. Hail was fixed at jL 100, with a surety of a similar amount.
