Mrs. F. E. Batime, of Sydney, and Mrs. H. M. Griffiths, of Tauranga, are at the Station Hotel.
Mrs. R. Greenfield-Brown and Miss P. Greenfield-Brown, of Wellington, are at the Grand Hotel.
Miss J. Potter, of Remuera Road, returned by the Niagara from a four months' holiday in Suva.
Mrs. T. C. Keegan, of Meadowbank Road, Remuera, will leave by motorcar to-morrow morning for Rotorua.
Mrs. H. Champion, of Wellington, who has been staying at Hotel Cargen, left this week for a visit to Sydney.
Mrs. Seton Otwav has returned to Cambridge after a short visit to Mrs. Loftus Otwav, Arney Road, Remuera.
Mrs. F. W. Wilson, of Mountain Road, Epsom, will leave to-morrow for her houso at Macky's Bay, Waiheke Island.
Mrs. Noel Cole, of Curran Street, Hcrne Bay, will leave by motor-car to-day to spend a holiday at her house at Lake Rotoiti.
Mrs. Vivian Riddiford, of Woburn', Lower Hutt, has returned South after a visit to her daughter, Mrs. Peter Savage, at St. Heliers.
Mrs. Curling Lawford, of Mission Bay, will leave by motor-car this afternoon to spend a holiday at her house at Ngongotaha, Rotorua.
Mrs. Neil C. Mains, of Lucerne Road, Remuera, will leave by motorcar this afternoon to spend a holiday at Lake Tarnwera, Rotorua.
Mrs. R. Dobson, of Gisborne, who has been the guest of Mrs. S. Carlton Hay, of Burwood Crescent, Remuera, returned to her home this week.
Miss Christine Farrer, of Hamilton, has returned homo after a visit to Auckland, where she was tho guest of Mrs Eric H. Nolan, of Papatoetoe.
Mrs. James Gardner, of Gisborne, has returned home from a visit to Auckland, where she was the guest of Mrs. Thornton Jackson, Remuera Road.
Mrs. G. Cruiekshank, who arrived in Auckland this week on her return from England, is spending a few days in Russell before leaving for her home in Dunedin.
Mrs. Harold H. Souter, of Lower Hutt, who has boon visiting her grandmother, Mrs. E. Bond, of Ladies Mile, Remuera, will return to the south by air this morning.
Mrs. Robin Coates. who has been visiting her son in Christchurch, returned to Auckland yesterday and is staying at Hotel Stonehurst. Miss Naiicy Coates is at present visiting FTobsonville.
The Remuera branch of the Women's Christian Temperance Union met on Tuesday. The vice-president, Mrs. G. Robinson, presided. As it was Maori Day, a paper written by Sister Jessie was read by Mrs. Robinson on Maori work generally.
The Mothers' Club of the Y.W.C.A. met on Tuesday, Mrs. C. Sharp presiding. The work of the National Relief Society of Latter Day Saints was spoken of by Mrs. Matthew Cowley. The hostesses for afternoon tea were Mrs. E. Rogers, Mrs. Ardorn and Mrs. Corbett.
Play for the season commenced on the Papakura Croquet Club lawns on Wednesday. The president, Miss Margaret Cooper, welcomed tho visitors and the Mayoress, Mrs. S. Evans, played the first ball. Progressive croquet was played, the winners being McAnulty (Pokcno) and Mrs. Firman (Papakura). Target and ladder competitions were . won by Mrs. Ledheater (Pokeno).
