LADIES' COMPETITION AKARANA MEDAL HANDICAP / PLAY IN TWO DIVISIONS Members of the Akarana Ladies' Golf Club played a medal handicap yesterday in two divisions. Results were as follows: First Division. —Mrs. H. G. Lovell. 00, in—7s; Miss L. O'Callaghan, 05, 10 —76. Second division: Miss R. Dugmore, 103, 3(1—73. The C grade was won b.v Mrs. Fulton. In the final of the handicap foursomes Mrs. W. J. McAllon and Mrs. R. Gordon beat Misses O. and M. Bischoff, 3 and 2. Manuhau Ladies. —Following is the draw for the Gold Button to be played to-morrow: Miss Little v. Mrs. Pollock. Miss Browning v. Mrs. Jenkins, Mrs. Crichton v. Mrs. Wardell, Mrs. Bremner v. Mrs. Carpenter. In the final of the junior championship Miss G. Illston beat Miss Little, -1 and 2. The winner of a medal round was Mrs. H. A. Pollock with a score of 100, 35 —71. Titirangi Ladies. —Following arc the results of an L.G.U. medal match played yesterday:—Silver division- Mrs. R. L. Wilson. 88, 13—75; Miss N.' W. Self. 01, 18—70; Mrs. G. S. Laird, S7, 0 —78; Mrs. A. L. Canghey, 00, 18—78. Bronze division: Mrs. W. C. Leys. 100. 32 —7-1; Mrs. R. W. Olsen. 108, 32—70; Miss L. Drysdale. 100, 20 —77; Mrs. R. M. Grierson, 112. 3. r )—77. Hamilton Ladies.—ln the final of the TTorton Cup consolation Mrs. F. Mander defeated C. W. Jowell. 1 up. The final for Mrs. Arthur's trophy was won by Mrs. B. Sc.vb, who defeated Mrs. W. S. Dingle, 4 and 3. The flag match played was won by Mrs. L. A. Morrison, who took the Dag to the 18th hole. Manukau. —The final of the senior championship will be played during the week-end between G. E. Revell and S. McDonald. Matches in the semi-final resulted: —Revell heal. C. G. Wardell, 1 tip; McDonald beat B. Moore, 2 up. North Shore.—ln the last match In the third round of the North Shore Golf Club's senior championship A. E. Browne beat J. A. Plowman, 8 and 7. Browne went out in 37, one over bogey, and was 7 up. Maungakiekie Ladies.—A C grade medal handicap played yesterday resulted:—Mrs. R. Woollams, 111; Mrs. R. W. Christensen, 115; Mrs. C. Craig, 110. WELLINGTON LADIES' TITLE [BY TKT.KGItAPII —PHESB ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Thursday Playing as brilliant golf as has been seen in New Zealand since the British team's visit in 1035, Miss P. Helean, of Hastings, won the Wellington ladies' provincial championship this afternoon by defeating Miss C. Smith, tho 23-yenr-old Invcrcargill champion, 4. and 3, in the final. The Hastings player was 2 up at the turn.
