PARACHUTE FIREMEN

WASHINGTON, Oct. 15 Theiamtod, States National Forest Service - jsexperimenting in the dropping of firemen by parachute at the scene of newly-discovered, .forest fires. Tho men wear- suits which are, padded to an extraordinary degree in order to prevent them 'from suffering injury when' landing in rough country. Their 1 parachutes are designed to permit them' to guide themselves to tho best landings. Their equipment, which includes a liglit two-way radio/ is dropped by a smaller parachute.
