NEW CABINET'S POLICY RECONSTRUCTION AFTER WAR HUGE COST INVOLVED (Received August 13, 9.30 p.m.) BURGOS, Aug. 12 The new members of the Cabinet took the oath of allegiance to General Franco, after which they issued a joint statement. This said that the Government's principal object was to achieve the moral unity of Spaniards and to "affirm to the world Spain's power and freedom. This demanded the mobilisation of faith and work.
The Reconstruction Commission reported that national rehabilitation will cost £500,000,000.
