THE COMING SEASON SEVEN VISITS ARRANGED ONE TO OMIT AUCKLAND Provisional arrangements have been mado for seven cruiso liners to visit Now Zealand in tho coming season, but tho number is likely to bo augmented when programmes. are advanced. Schedules drawn up to date include visits by six liners from Australia. For tho first time Auckland will be omitted from tho itinerary of one of them. Tho Orient Lino has made provisional arrangements for four cruises to New Zealand. The liners engaged will bo tho Orion, reaching Auckland on October 27 from Brisbane and returning to Sydney via Wellington; tho Orford, arriving at Wellington 011 December 22 from Brisbane, and returning to Australia via tho Marlborough Sounds; tho Otranto, duo at Auckland on January 5 and sailing for tho Bay of Islands and Sydney; and tho Oronsay, reaching Auckland on February 2, which will follow tho same itinerary as tho Orion. The P. and 0. Line, which for some years lias also sent four cruiso liners each year, has so far arranged for visits by two vessels during the first half of tho season. Tho Strathallan is duo at Auckland from Brisbano on November 17 and will sail the noxt day for Wellington and Sydney, while tho Strathmore, following a similar route, is duo on tho morning of December 29 and will sail lato noxt night. Tho only world cruiso liner so far announced to visit New Zealand in tho coming season is tho Cunard-Whito Star vessel Franconia, duo at Wellington on April 21 and sailing from Auckland on April 28. Arrangements have also been mado by Thomas Cook and Son for a party of visitors from England and South Africa to make a three weeks' tour of Now Zealand in December and January. Tho party will reach Wellington by the Dominion Monarch on December 28, and will leave by tho samo vessel on her return voyage.
