RIFLE SHOOTING
WHANGAREI DEFENCE CLUB [from our own correspondent] WHANGAREI, Monday R. H. Allan, with a total of 291 for three shots, won the W. Norris trophy shot for by members of the Whangarei Defence Rifle Club. Other scores were:—C. P. Ward, 257; W. Norris, 281; J. Norris, 2SI; W. Borehani, 279; J. Copeland, 275; G. Neville, 271. Tho final shoot was conducted yesterday, when a fresh wind and scattered showers made shooting rather difficult. Scores were:— R. 11. Allan; 17, 15, -1—07; E. A. Foot, 47 (j—9o; C. P. Ward, 13, 10, 12—95; W. Norris, IS, -15, scr—93; J. Norris, 15, 46, 2—93; W. Boreham, 18. 1-1, scr—92; J. Copoland, -12, -13, 7—92; G. Neville, 47, 32, 2—Bl.
