TOUR BY DIRECTOR DOMINION IN NOVEMBER [from our own correspondent] LOXDOM, June 29 The Director of the Imperial Institute, Sir Harry A. F. Lindsay, who is to visit New Zealand and Australia, will leave London on October 13, and join the Aorangi at Vancouver for Auckland, where he should arrive in the middle of November. Three weeks are to be spent in New Zealand, mainly in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin. As a time-saving means, Sir Harry will travel chiefly by air during his journeyings from north to south. He hopes to address llotnry Clubs and other organisations interested in Imperial affairs, on the work of the Imperial institute and the ltoval Empire Society.
Sir Harry is a well-known figure in London. He has spent a number of years in India, holding important offices. From 1923 to 1934 lie.was Trade Commissioner in London for the Government of India. His appointment as Director of the Imperial Institute was made in ]934 on the death of Sir William Furze. The work of the institute has an important hearing on all parts of the Empire, and the present director has done a great deal to impart fresh life and vigour to this institution.
