GARAGE OWNER KILLED
CAR STRIKES LORRY DRIVER ESCAPES INJURY [JJY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION"] PALMERSTON NORTH, Monday A fatal collision occurred on the Lcviu-Foxtoii highway to-night. The victim was: — Mr. Bertie Robert Way, garage proprietor, of Foxton. Mr. Way was travelling as a passenger in a car driven by Mr. J. Hayfield, of Levin. The collision was with the rear of a stationary lorry in charge of Mr. T. J. A. Marchant. Just prior to the accident the lorry's lights fused and Mr. Way was trying to effect repairs. The impact tore the side of the car out and a portion of the roof. Mr. Way received shocking injuries, but Mr. Hay field escaped with slight cuts. The impact turned the lorry side-on and pushed it down a bank at the roadside
