HUMAN SKULL FOUND
DISCOVERY ON A BEACH [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] THAMES, Monday A human skull was discovered partly embedded in the sand on the Puru beach on Friday by Mr. Wilkinson, of Puru. The Thames police have charge of the skull, which is to be sent to Auckland for a pathologist's report. Some teeth remain in the \ipper jaw, but they appear to be well worn. The lower jaw is missing.
