TRUBY KING MEMORIAL
DONATION FROM NORTHCOTE A donation of. five guineas toward the national memorial to the late Sir Trilby King was made by the Northcole branch of the Plunkot Society at a meeting held last night. Annual subscribers, mothers, and tho committee contributed to tho donation. The president, Mrs. A. Campbell, who presided, referred to the great success of the annual Northcote Plunkot Ball, and thanked members of the committee and all helpers. She also conveyed a message from the patron of the Auckland centre, Mrs. \V. 11.. Parke's, who had congratulated the committee 011 the success of 11s efforts. Special donations were received from Dr. R. G. Dudding, Mrs. N. E. Heath, Mti. J. L. Hanna and Mrs. .0. P. O'Lenrv.
Tho nurse, Miss .T. llurSell, reported that IG.'i visits to the Northcote rums had been made during May, besides 14 visits to homes, including five new cases. Transport was provided by Mrs. H. J. Taylor, Mrs. A. L. Elliott, Mrs. F. C; Williams and Miss Myrtle Lcpper. Sewing for the Karitano Hospital had been undertaken by Mrs. F. G. Truman, Mrs. Stretton and Miss Olive Blott.
The convenor, Mrs. P. .T. llmvke, reported tlmt the membership of the Truby King Junior League was now 74.
