FIRE DESTROYS STORE

WOOD AND COAL LOST Fire destroyed a one-storey shed, containing wood, coal and other inflammable materials, at 365 Manukau Road, Epsom, yesterday afternoon. Fanned by a fairly strong wind, the flames had a good hold when engines of the Remuera and Parnell brigades arrived, and a. quantity of rope and sacks in the shed was burning fiercely. The building was owned bv Mr. D. Alcy, of 33 Arthur Street, Onehunga, and was used as a store. The contents were not insured.
