RESIDENTS FAREWELLED

A very pleasant gathering was hold in Paparoa on Friday night to farewell Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Abbott and family prior to their departure, after a residence of several years in tho district, for Whakatane. „ On behalf of tho residents, Mr. R. Skellon presented the guests of honour with a bedroom clock and a gift for their children, and on behalf of the basketball team Miss Evelyn Fenwick presented Mrs. Abbott with a crystal vase. Games, competitions and dancing provided enjoyable entertainment.
