PRIVATE VIEW HELD

WAIKATO SOCIETY OF ARTS OPENING OF EXHIBITION A private view of the work of members of the Waikato Society of Arts was presented in the concert chamber of the Waikato Winter Show buildings. After the president, Mr. James Treloar, had briefly addressed the gathering, ho introduced Dr. J. D. C. Duncan, of Rotorua, whom he asked to declare the exhibition officially open. Mrs. Treloar, wife of the president, was wearing a frock of black delustred velvet, with a spray of pink roses. The secretary, Miss L. T. Basstian, wore a frock of green and nut brown crepe de -chine.
