FRONTIER DEFENCES
GERMAN FORTIFICATIONS "TOMBSTONES" FOR TANKS BERLIN. Oct. 24 "Tanks' tombstones" is the description given by the newspaper Dor Angriff to the long deep lines of concrete obstructions which form the most prominent feature of the new German fortifications on the French frontier, compared with which the Hindenherg Line of wartime is only an insignificant hindrance.
Der Angriff .added: "Camouflage has especially been given attention. The whole area has been replanted to offer smallest objects to view."
