LABOUE DAY EVENTS GATHERING AT WAIHI LARGE PROGRAMME STAGED [by telegraph—own correspondent] WAIHI, Tuesday Not for more than 20 years has the Waihi Sports Club held such a big sports gathering as took place on the recreation ground yesterday. Rain fell but did not spoil th« day's sport, and a wide range of events was enjoyed by more than 2000 people. Mr. J. Thorn, M.P., and Mrs. Thorn, who were introduced by the Mayor of Waihi, Mr. W. M.
