The Scholarships are tenable for three years, commencing from the first term in the year, 1939, and consist of free tuition at either the Auckland Grammar School or King's College, as the parents of the scholar may choose. A maintenance allowance of £lO per annum, payable quarterly, will also be advanced to each scholar. Only "boys under the age of twelve years on December Ist next, attending ono of the public common schools of the Provincial District of Auckland, and the sons of poor parents, will be eligible for the Scholarship.
