AWARD AGREEMENT INCREASE OF 5/- IN WAGES [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Tuesday A complete settlement was reached in the wholesale warehousemen's (other than soft goods) industrial dispute discussed in conciliation council at Wellington to-day. Ihe terms of agreement were similar to lliosc reached in the soft goods dispute.

The wages of adult males have been increased by os a week to X.*), av it h an additional os when a worker has completed 12 years' service or has attained tho age of 28 years. The hours of work are 42. Annual holidays have been increased to a fortnight. The minimum wages for travellers, both town and country, are £•> 12s 6d a week, but country travellers are not bound by any clauses other than those relating to wages. The award, as far as wages are concerned, comes into operation as from October 24 and is for one year.
