THE ELECTION RESULT
Sir, —Like Doris Erieksen, in your issue of October 19, I too would like to express some very deep appreciation. But mine is not so much for the National Leader and his faithful henchmen's "very able, fair and kindly spirit in the contest." as for that unknowable guidance which caused such huge majorities in all our large centres of population to accurately strike out from the ballot papers those enemies of the majority of unselfish people in this fair land of ours. And. like Doris, "linked in a bond of friendship, unity and service" we shall see to it—with our eyes turned to the north, south, east and west —that doles of soup from the kitchens. old clothes from the dumps, etc., and such like never again return, even if Professor Algie is appointed to ad minister them. Mn.me Dickinsen.
