THEFT OF CLOTHING

PROBATION FOR FARM HAND [FROM OCR OWN CORRESPONDENT] HAMILTON, Tuesday A plea of guilty to two charges of theft was entered bv a farm hand. James Edward Conrad, aged 18, who appeared before Mr. S. L. Paterson, S.M., in the Hamilton Magistrate's Court to-day. Accused was ell urged with the theft of wearing apparel at Eureka on October 22, the property of his employer. Henry Franklin Lea.sk, the total value being £1 15s, and the theft in Hamilton on October 21 of clothing and Is 4d in money to the total value of £1 18s lOd, the property of a Maori, Roto Rangi. Accused, was placed on probation for a period of one year.
