TRAFFIC PROBLEM

PARKING AT HOSPITAL PROHIBITIONS IMPOSED "The problem of motor traffic within the hospital grounds, especially during visiting hours has become acute," .stated the medical superintendent, Dr. J. W. Craven, in a report to the Auckland Hospital Board last night. He said there was grave danger of an accident and the noise of a number of cars starting was most disturbing to patients. At present it was necessary to einEloy two orderlies to control the traffic, »r. Craven explained, and he recommended the prohibition of parking in the grounds during at least the regular visiting' hours. However, allowance must be made for ambulances, cars and taxis used for patients and for the conveyance of aged and crippled visitors.

Dr. Craven's suggestions were adopted.
