Auckland and is at the Grand Hotel. The Hon. W. Lee Martin, Minister of Agriculture, will visit Hamilton tomorrow in connection with the Royal Show. - Mr. G. Mills, chairman of the Auckland division of the National Party, and Mr. T. G. Wilkes, chief organiser, left for Wellington by the afternoon express yesterday. Mr. L. G. Wood, postmaster at PonBonbv, has been transferred to Whakatane" His successor at Ponsonby is Mr. G. It. Taylor, who has been acting as a relieving postmaster in the Auckland district. Mr. J. L. Greer, a member of the engineering staff of the Auckland Harbour Board, has resigned to take up an appointment at Singapore. Mr. Greer will leave Auckland about the middle of next month. Sir Carrick Robertson, representing the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, and Professor C. E. Hercutf, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Otago University College, have been nominated as members of the council on staff appointments at tho Auckland Hospital. Canon E. H. Strong, warden of St. John's College, Auckland, who will relinquish that position at the end of this year, will fake charge of St. Paul's Cathedral, Dunedin. during the whole of next year. He will relieve the present vicar. Dean G. C. Cruickshank, who will leave for England early in the New Year. Professor T. A. Hunter, vice-chan-cellor of the University of New Zealand. Mr. I. F. McKenzie. registrar, Professor B. E. Murphy, of Victoria College, Wellington. Professor A. H. Tocker, of Canterbury College, Christchurch. and Professor R. J. T. Bell, of Otago University, arrived by train yesterday to attend a meeting of the Academic Board. It is expected that the business of the board will be ncneluded on Friday.
