RESENTFUL NAZIS
NEWSPAPER OUTBURST CRITICISM OF GERMANY BRITISH LEADERS ATTACKED BERLIN, Oct. 20 Under the heading "Stupid, but Dangerous," Schwarzekorps, the organ of Herr Himmler's Black Guards, flays those British leaders who have recently ventured to criticise Germany. Firstly it attacks the Bishops of Chichester, Durham and London, for asking Mr. Chamberlain to intercede on behalf of Germany's political, Jewish and Catholic prisoners. It says that the average Briton regards himself as "the policeman of God charged with the supervision of the whole world." It describes Mr. Churchill, Mr. Eden and Mr. Duff Cooper as war-mongers, waiting in the sulks to provoke the next world war. It rates the Archbishop of Canterbury for sympathising with the Czechs and offering no word of compassion for the Sudeten Germans. "Germany could renounce hor colonies, scrap her weapons, and accept starvation," the Schwarzekorps adds, "but even then would the English governess cease her demands ? A governess at any time may turn into a warlike dragon, and an archbishop's crook become a machine-gun, but we will be ready with two machine-guns."
