FLYING TRAGEDIES
CIVILIAN VICTIMS AIR FORCE MISHAPS COLLISION IN MID-AIR (Received September 1(5, 9.15 p.m.) LONDON, Sept. 16 Two civilians were killed and one was injured in two Royal Air Forco mishaps to-day. After a collision in mid-air one aeroplane crashed on a house at Stainford, killing a woman aged 22. Three of the airmen parachuted to safety. A fisherman, aged 75, was fatally injured and a companion was seriously hurt when their boat was struck in the Sojent by an amphibian, from which the pilot was rescued before it sank.
