PLUNGE INTO LAKE
MOTOR-CAR LEAVES ROAD TURNS OVER SEVERAL TIMES OCCUPANTS ESCAPE UNINJURED [by telegraph OWN correspondent] ROTORUA, Friday Two occupants of a motor-car which plunged into Lake Rotoma had a fortunate escape from drowning. The car skidded on the road and went over the bank. After leaving the road it somersaulted several times, but struck a rock and landed on its wheels in the lake in about 4ft. of water. The two men in the car were able to scramble out through the windows and regain the bank. They were not injured.
