There was a small entry of unfinis'hed ox beef which met with only a fair demand. Cow beef was penned in good numbers, although no prime beef came forward. Friday More than 200 bulls were received at tha annual bull sale conducted by Alfred Buckland and Sons. Limited, at L-'ukckohe. There was a large attendance of buyers, representative of North Auckland. Franklin, the Waikato, and the Hauraki Plains. Bidding was ' keen throughout, and values in most cases were well above the vendors' expectations. Good two and three-year-old Jicrd bulls especially were in excellent demand. Practically a total clearance was effected. The top price for • Shoithorns was 2G guineas.
