ANNUAL CONVENTION

CHRISTIAN ENDEAVOUR The forty-sixth annual convention of the Auckland Christian Endeavour Union was continued in the Beresford Street Congregational Church on Thursday evening, when the annual business meeting was held. The retiring president, the Ilev. A. C. Nelson, presided over a gathering of 60 delegates. The 'annual report presented by the secretary, Miss G. Massam, _ showed that the membership comprised 61 societies. The electiog of officers resulted as follows: —President, Mr. H. Bristow; president designate the Rev. A. Murray Gow; vice-presidents, the Rev. W. Barry, Pastor J. S. Binnie, and Messrs. A. Sutherland and lan Lilly; secretary. Miss G. Massam; assistant secretary. Miss G. de Wolfe; treasurer, Mr. G. Barker. A farewell was tendered to Pastor N. Williams, who is leaving Auckland shortly to take up work in Melbourne. Following the business meeting, a consecration rally was hold when the new officers were inducted to office, nnd addresses were given by the Rev. A. C. Nelson and the new president, Mr. H. Bristow. Miss G Massam and Mr. H. Maiden also spoke, dealing with the recent Christian Endeavour World's Convention in Melbourne.
