QTUBHO'HX grease-stains on stone steps can be removed in the following _ way._ Cover the stains with a paste of fuller's earth and water, and leave it on over-night. In the following morning scrape oil' the. paste, and put in its place a lump of washing soda. Pour over this some boiling water and dissolve it, and then scrub tho steps in tho usual way.
