Long-dated inscribed stock suffered a setback. Banks were dull, although offers throughout the section revealed a firmer trend'. Insurances were comparatively steady. Accommodation movements took place in New Zealands. The general tone of hesitancy was verv evident among industrials. However, there was not the same tendency among sellers to clear their holdings, although some concessions were made late in the day. iho ken Hill Proprietary continued to' recover, although more were available at the higher figure.
