Worth mot too strong ami aggressive an opponent, who, however, was erratic in punching. Worth was not strong enough to rope with the incessant onslaught, although he was tho better boxer. Marsh (Groymouth) knocked out J. I*. Nelson (Auckland) in the light-heavy-weight division in the first round. Nelson fought well and appeared to be in front when Marsh swung a hard right to the jaw as Nelson came oil' the ropes. Nelson took the full count. S. Morris (Wairarapa) beat Iv. Moran (Auckland), light-weight, in a great two-handed fight. Both fought hard in the first round, which was even. Morris, with a hard right swing, had Moran groggy in the second, but was too eager and missed his opportunity. Moran made a great recovery and came hack lighting hard in the third round, and appeared to win by cleaner punching. The decision met with a mixed reception. R. Branch, the Auckland middleweight, knocked out .J. Loft us (Wellington) in the first round of a toe-to-too slogging match. Out of a fast exchange of liard punches. Branch dropped Loft us for the full count with a left hook. M. Moll ugh (Auckland) won against .T. Sehinianski (Taranaki), in the lioavv-woight division, in the first i round. MeHugh at the hell showered heavy blows, and Sehinianski went through the ropes for the count of eight. On regaining his feet, lie received a heavy right to the body and a left to till' jaw. Scliiinanski was helpless when the referee intervened.
