AUCKLAND CLUB'S OFFICERS SUCCESSFUL PAST SEASON There was a record attendance at the annunl meeting -of tiie Auckland Lawn Tennis Club, presided over by the president, Mr. A. Satchel!. The satisfactory state of the club s finances and the record number of members last year were points mentioned by Mr. Satchell. who welcomed the gathering. Mr. R. S. Burt, a vice-president, spoke of the achievements of some of the players, particularly O. Satchell, whoso performances in the New Zealand junior chariipionships at Christchurr.h, where he reached the finals of the singles and combined doubles, were very praiseworthy. Others to distinguish themselves in outside competitions were Miss Drylund, H. L. Hartnoll, J. B. Wood and t>. \V. North. Tho election of officers resulted as follows: President, Mr. A. .Satchell; vice-presi-dents, Sir Ernest Davis, Messrs. li. S. Burt, A. R. Hosking, F. N. Ambler, A. T. Coppard, T. Sparling; honorary secretary. Mr. J. A. Fernandez; honorary treasurer, Mr. A. Biggs; honorary auditor, Mr. A. L. Simmons; delegates to Auckland Lawu Tennis Association, Messrs A. Satchell, J. A. Fernandez; club captain, Mr. R S. Burt; ground superintendent, Mr. J A. Fernandez; committee, Mrs. W. E. Turgis, Miss S. Whittaker, Messrs. L. Williamson, A. B. Crouch, D. H. Marr; ladies' committee, Mrs.- C. B. Walker. Mis«es N. McLeod, K. McDonal!, R. Mailer, T. Crouch; lady captain, Mrs. \V. E. Turgis. Trophies were presented to the following winners:—Ladies' championship singles. Miss A. S. Robinson; men's championship singles. 11. L. Hartnoll; ladies' championship doubles, Miss S. Whittakcr and Mrs. C. B. Walker; men's championship doubles, O. Satchell and A. B. Crouch; ladies' handicap singles, Miss K. McDonall; men's handicap singles, O. Satchell; ladies', handicap doubles, Misses lv. McDonall and N. McLeod; men's handicap doubles, R. B. and D. Perkins; mixed doubles championship, Miss R. James and S. R. Scott; mixed doubles handicap. Miss J. Dryland and J. B. Woc-d. The cup, donated by Mr. A. R. Hosking, to be presented annually to the winner of the men's championship singles, was awarded lo H. L. Hartnoll. Mr. ,T. A. Fernandez's cup, presented tor tho ladies' championship singles, was won by Miss A. S. Robinson. The cups donated by Mr. R. S.' Burt were awarded to Miss J. Dryland and Mr. J. B. Wood. Miss M. Holding won Mr. cup for the most improved junior player, and the John Burns and Company cup was presented to Miss S. Whittakcr and Mrs. C. B Walker, winners of the ladies' championship doubles.
