APPEAL BOARD
POSTAL DEPARTMENT SITTING IN AUCKLAND After a brief sitting at Whangarei, members of the Post and Telegraph Department Appeal Board arrived in Auckland yesterday to hear appeals arising out of recent reclassifications of officers within the department. The board will begin its session at the chief post office on Monday and will probably remain in the city for about a month. Members of the board are:—Mr. H. A. Young, S.M., of Christchurch, chairman; Mr. 11. I. Allan, of Auckland, Government representative; Mr. G. A. Wilkes, of Oamaru, telegraph employees' representative; Mr. A. Robertson, of Christchurch, postal employees' representative; Mr. E. A. Munden. of Wellington, secretary. Mr. L. L. Hills, of Wellington, chief inspector of the Post and Telegraph Department and advocate for the department, is accompanying the board. Prior to sitting at Whangarei, the board heard appeals at South Island centres and Wanganui, New Plymouth and Hamilton. Mr. Young, Mr. Munden and Mr. Hills are at the Royal Hotel.
