PEED BECOMING SHORT [fiiom OITB OWN cokhkspondknt] WHANOAREI. Friday The severe weather conditions of tho past weeks and the usual seasonal shortage of feed have taken toll of stock in the North. Grass is becoming short and tho cold wet weather has stopped any growth, so that hay is being used very liberally by farmers who possess stocks. A number of lambs have made their appearance and seem to bo flourishing in spite of the weather.
