SOUTHERN CONFERENCE An invitation to attend tlie proposed conference of woodwork and building trades instructors to bo held at Christchurch in August was received from the organisers at the meeting of the board of managers of the Seddon Memorial Technical College. It was stated that the conference was approved by the Minister of hducation. The board decided to permit its instructors to attend, and to pay their travelling expenses. Owing to the absence of five members of the board, the question of making the instructors an allowance while they were attending the conference was deferred until the nest meeting.
