SOCIAL EVENING NOVEL ENTERTAINMENT MANY MEMBERS PRESENT A novel entertainment arranged by the members of the Athenian Club was given at tho social evening held on Saturday night in their elubrooms. The programme was entitled "A Night in the Woodlands," and the opening scene depicted a forest at dawn with a tramp bestirring himself to the strains of "Dawn in the Forest." This was followed by a bird dance performed by Miss C. Carvillo and Miss I. Patterson.

Also assisting with items during the evening were:—Miss Sybil Phillips, Miss Judith Glover, Mr. Bex Gates, Mr. Dan Callinan and Mr. C. Ernies. The accompanists were Miss N. Phillips, and Miss Elva Carr. .Representatives of the Philistines' Club were tho guests of the club. Appropriate novelties were distributed. Among those present were:—Mrs. H.
