NURSES' EXAMINATIONS IEDAL FOR MISS G. G. NICOLL fFROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT] HAMILTON, Thursday Commenting upon the recent State xaminations for nurses, the results of which have been published, Mr. J. Banks'at the meeting of the Waikato Hospital } Board yesterday said the position was exceedingly gratifying, and reflected the greatest credit on the medical superintendent, Dr. M. M. Hockin, the lady superintendent, Miss D. Menzies, the tutor-sister, Miss D. I. Buchanan, and on the candidates themselves.
Reference was also made to the remarkable list of successes experienced by previous Waikato candidates in the State nursing examinations. The board decided to convey its congratulations to those concerned, and to present a gold medal to Miss G. G. Xicoll, who was top for the Dominion in the examination for pupil nurses. A silver medal will bo presented to the nurse who has made tne most progress during the last year. The nurse to receive the silver medal has not yet been selected.
