UNDEFENDED DIVORCE
THREE PETITIONS GRANTED VARIOUS GROUNDS ADVANCED Three undefended divorce petitions were heard by Mr. Justice Callan in the Supreme Court yesterday. Alleging adultery against her husband, Christina Laing Wilson Lowen (Mr. Piobinson) sought divorce from William Martin Brocklebank Lowen, to whom 'she was married in November, 1932. Petitioner said they were separated in March, 1936, and she had the two children with her. In Januar3 r , 1937, with a witness, she visited a houso where her husband was living with another woman, and he admitted adultery. Later the woman asked her to get a divorce, as Lowen and she wished to get married. His Honor issued a decree nisi, with custody of the children, and costs. On the ground of separation for more than throe years Constance Mavis Beryl Crawford (Mr. T?obinson) sought divorce from Craig Dixon Crawford. 1 lie parties were married at the registry office, Wellington, in September, lO.'iO. The petitioner said that trouble starter) early in 1933, owing to her husband drinking heavily and gambling. They finally separated in March, 19.'M. A decree nisi was issued. In tho petition for divorce of Leslie Raymond Mills (Mr. Singer) against Naomi Iris Marguerite Mills (Mr ; Garland), Mr. Singer offered no evidence on behalf of the petitioner, and Mr. Garland proceeded on tho wife's crosspetition. Proof was given of the marin December, 1925, and of a separation by agreement existing since March. 19.'i5. His Honor issued a decree nisi and gave the interim custody of the (lirec children to tho mother.
