CONSOLIDATION OF SCHOOL CHILDREN KEPT AT, HOME [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] DARGAVILLE, Wednesday An objection to the decision to consolidate' the I?edhill school has been raised by four parents, and as a result they have refused to send their children to the Te Kopuru school. Ten children are affected by this objection. The new consolidated scheme was begun on Monday when the remaining 15 pupils from the Jledhill school were conveyed'to Te Kopuru for the first time. /

The decision hv the Education Department to consolidate the iJedhill school was received with regret on account of the closing of the old building,. but at the same lime satisfaction wi,s expressed at the increased educational facilities which would result.
